The recent postings to Tweeters extolling ABA prompt me to pass on
that there is also an opposing view. I was a Charter member of ABA
but no longer belong nor support any of its activities, directly or
indirectly.

Anyone unfamiliar with recent controversy surrounding the organization
might find some of the archives of the national birding hotline
cooperative informative (http://nbhc.com/birdmail.htm ). The thread
labeled "ABA ALTERNATIVES" gives a bit of it.

All this is politics. I don't suggest starting an ABA thread on
Tweeters.
