Having had little to report (or having reported little, anyway)
I thought I'd let you know we are all excited about a Tennessee
Warbler that showed up in one of our wilderness parks, the Far
North Bicentennial Park. It's a singing male, defending a
territory along Campbell Creek (the same creek along which
the winter's Siberian Accentor hung out). This is a first record
for south coastal Alaska. I understand there have been
Tennessees found in the Interior before.

Meanwhile, we are "enjoying" cold, rainy weather more
like Seattle than Anchorage. Good year for mosquitoes and
slugs. Birding has been normal so far. Juncos are fledging
already.
