Can anyone recommend birding sites for Susan and me along our trip from
Seattle to the Tri-Cities area this weekend?

We will stay in the Tri-Cities area. I looked at Wahl & Paulson's Guide to
Bird Finding in Washington and the only sites that seemed promising this time
of year are Frenchman Coulee and a few other stops along the highway. Surely
there must be other places.
