Dear Eric,

I saw your recent post on Tweeters. Since it is an RFI, I
suspect you will be around waiting for replies. You are
therefore a logical person to ask a big favor of. Would you
please post the RFI below to Tweeters for me? I'm going to
be visiting the Northwest next week and am looking for
some help.

Thank you very much,

Mike Collins

RFI for the Pacific Northwest

I'm an East Coast birder who will be attending a conference
in Seattle next week. I am looking for some suggestions for
good places to look for the following species:

Common Murre
Pigeon Guillemot
Marbled Murrelet
Cassin's Auklet
Rhinoceros Auklet
Tufted Puffin
Black Swift
Black Oystercatcher
Northern Goshawk
Northern Pygmy-Owl
Flammulated Owl
Long-eared Owl
Northern Saw-Whet Owl
Three-toed Woodpecker
Black-backed Woodpecker

I notice that the ranges of Willow and Rock Ptarmigan reach
pretty far south in British Columbia. Are there any reliable
locations within a half-day's drive or so of Seattle?

Thank you very much,

Mike Collins
