Hi Tweets,

I was just doing my morning check of the Falco-Cam

June 16/ 17:

If you have been watching the "Falco-Cam" images the last few days you may
have noticed the frequent wing flapping activities of the two young
falcons. On Tuesday the 17th., at approx. 4:30 PM, the tiercel (male)
falcon fledged from the ledge. This means that he has left the nest ledge
(for the first time) and made a short flight to another location. For a
short time his whereabouts was uncertain but he was finally observed on
another ledge of the Washington Mutual Tower. Typically the male falcons
are the first to make their initial flight attempts. The females generally
follow a few days later. We expect the female falcon to fledge in a day or
two. Stay tuned to the "Falco-Cam" because the birds often roost at the
original nest ledge at night. We will keep you posted as to when the
female makes her first flight.

June 18:

As of 9:00 AM this morning the female has also fledged from the nest
ledge. She flew down to another ledge about 10 floors below. The adult
pair will continue to feed the young fledglings and the youngsters will
continue to develop their flight and hunting skills. It is hard to predict
where the young will roost but, check the nest ledge every so often, as we
stated before they could very well be back on the nest ledge.
