Hi Jim

A pair of Red-tailed Hawks which nested near Marymoor just fledged a
young bird about a week ago. The young fledgling has a dark head, and a
rather pronounced (for a RTHA) belly band. In good light you can see
the belly band is made up of discrete spots, but at a distance or in
poor light is could appear solid. Might be a candidate for your bird.
