In my last couple of visits to the Montlake Fill, the Killdeer have been
noticeable by their conspicuous absence. (It's quiet enough to hear the
other birds!) There are still plenty of Killdeer at Magnuson Park. What
happened to the Fill birds? Have they started migrating south? Were
their nests trampled by Canada Geese? Youngsters eaten by the kitties
that live at the Fill?
