Subject: Baby Kingfisher at the Locks (photo op?)

There's a single immature Belted Kingfisher at the Ballard locks, seen
Sat AM and Mon. AM. Sat I saw the female feed it, today it perched on the
cable between the west large lock gate and the lock wall, only about 10
ft. from the sidewalk and five feet down. It seemed unfazed by the people
walking by so close. This would be a good photo op if anyone's interested
It was near the west end of the large lock both days. The male both days
was over by the spillway. There was also a mature Bald Eagle visit both
days as well as a B-17 today, two Kildeer on the Commodore Park beach and
half a dozen GB Heron, two little mice and lots of rats. Otherwise its
pretty slow.

The Sockeye are running and one Chinook was in the ladder this morning as
well.
