Hello Tweets,

My mother and I birded mainly Okanogan county, visiting other sites to and
from the county for our 7th time since 1990, inspired by the 1990 WOS
Convention in Okanogan Co. and seems to get better and Better each year
that we visit the area.We birded from the 19th to the 27th of June driving
a total of 1590 miles and producing 190 species in 9 Cos. This trip was an
all camping, birding, and photography trip, where my mother added photos to
her recent dragonfly hobby, as well as bird photos, some of which will be
visible in the photo gallery on the WOS webpage in the near future. Most
abundant bird family numbers were woodpeckers with 11 species, and owls
with 9 species, with many of both families at nest sites or at with young.
12 species of mammals were noted including my mothers first SNOWSHOE HARE,
which we saw 6 in Okanogan Co., and my first MARTEN south of Crawfish Lk.
Weather varied from rain/showers to sunny skies, and temperatures from
42L(Tiffany Springs CG,OK)to 90H(Naches,YA). Highlights included:
