Hi Tweets
Sorry I've misplaced the address to send this to direct. We had two
female Belted Kingfishers yesterday in the Tacoma area. One was both
seen and heard perched on both sides of the duck pond near the swimming
pool at Titlow Beach Park (DeLorme p. 62, B4), and the second was seen
upstream of the mouth of Chambers Creek, just below the dam on Chambers
Creek near the gravel pits (DeLorme p. 62, C4).
Overall a good day of real detailed study of grebes, cormorants, gulls,
and mergansers and other ducks. Particularly goldeneye, including
obliging female Barrow's and male and female Common. The rain held off
until on the way home.
