Thanks for the lovely description of the Pine Siskin flocks. Have nothing
like that here at my feeders but even fifty (here now after hanging a niger
feeder) make an incredible soft "murmuring" as they seem to chatter among
themselves. Of course, they're eating us out of house and home but they're
delightful additions to our winter birds. Wish I could have seen your flocks
and "heard" the air move. Thanks again for telling us about your experience.
