We've had a bit of winter and a bit of spring on the Palouse in the past
month. Signs of spring include widespread Red-winged Blackbird activity
(early arrivals about 3 weeks ago), Killdeer now showing up in typical
places around town, Barred Owls calling in the foothills, and large influx
of Robins in the past week. Bohemian Waxwings and Rough-legged Hawks are
still around showing that winter hasn't quite loosened its grip here (also
a bit of snow in the past week). Looking forard to the first wave of
early migrants.
