Hi Tweeters,

I saw a bird shaped just like a kingfisher, perched on a telephone line
between the mall and Yardbirds in Centralia. Only thing, it sure looked
black in color, and the white went clear around the back of the head. I
couldn't see the front. Head and bill sure matched the kingfisher, but it
sure looked black! Then coming home on Centralia-Alpha Rd, almost at the
intercestion with North Fork Rd., a hawk making a strike darn near smacked
into my car!!! It went up on a perch, sure didn't take it long to finish
its meal. We could see white fluff floating down. The hawk had a brown head
and neck, with a golden brown front and leggings. There was a light colored
bar running across the tip of the tail.
