I will be going to Austin, TX this thursday. The last time I was in TX,
November, I took the same coastal birding trip you did. I saw all the same
species but way more that you didnt mention. I got 43 lifers that month, all
of them southern and eastern species that you never see in the PNW. I want to
know if you noticed any passerine migrants arriving or coming through. Did you
see any Painted Buntings, Scarlet Tanagers, Kentucky Warblers, Black and White
Warblers, or Indigo Buntings? What about Raptors? Do you , or anyone else,
have sugestions on special places to go other than those you have all ready
mentioned? Im planing on doing the coast trip from Houston to S.Padrea Island.
