Tweets,
I've been a Digest lurker for well over a year and have used it as a great
resource for planning various trips around the state, B.C., and into
Oregon. I'm sure that there are others like me who deeply appreciate the
posts of you regulars and use the info. therein to maximize their efforts
while jaunting around the countryside. Here's a word of thanks to the likes
of Price, Stepniewski, Rowlett, Sullivan(s), Patterson, Downes, Cady,
Baccus, Hunn, et al. I've met some of you out and about (at Wenas and most
recently the WOS bunch up at Reifel), but regularly use your shared
expertise on Tweets to sharpen my skills when I'm out there, eye to the
sky.
Cyberbirding is a gas but hitting the road is what I love. So, in a couple
of weeks (3/20--3/23) I want to head down into the southwest corner of the
state (Pacific County, Tokeland, Puget Island, maybe the Raymond airport
for the Black-shouldered Kite, etc.) and/or Columbia Gorge, Klickitat area.
I use the Paulson/Wahl book a lot for fleshing out spots. I know it's still
generally early for migrants, so I'm wondering if any of you might have
some feedback for me re: maximizing my efforts considering seasonal and
weather variables.
I'm not a subscriber but read the Digest daily. So I'm not sure of protocol
re: where to post me. I'd appreciate any responses.
