Hi Tweets,

I was in E Vancouver BC yesterday, keeping in mind that conditions were
right for some early raptor migration--warm, southerly wind--when I saw a
northbound Merlin Falco Columbarius sharing a thermal with a Red-tailed Hawk
Buteo jamaicensis as amiably as a Merlin ever shares anything. Considering
the distance each was keeping from the other, it looked like there had
already been a frank exchange of views over airspace and elbow-room.

Unfortunately, since I was working inside, I couldn't get out to see if
there was any more northbound movement than that.
