The pelagic trip out of Westport on the 7th yielded SOOTY and
SHORT-TAILED SHEARWATERS, LAYSAN and BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSSES and a
POMARINE JAEGER. Also seen were at least two Gray Whales.

On the 4th, at the end of Eide Rd. near Stanwood was a HARRIS' SPARROW
. At this same location two days earlier was a VESPER SPARROW and a
flock of about 40 SAVANNAH SPARROWS.

The CLAY-COLORED SPARROW and a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW were still at the
junction of the Woodinville-Duvall Rd. and the West Snoqualmie Valley
Rd. on the 2nd.

RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS have returned to Western Washington with the
earliest reports arriving on the 1st.
