Hello tweeters,
After spending saturday Birding with Jerry and Sandy Converse from Mason
to King County, chasing after long-billed Dowitchers, with no avail.We did
get the nimia Eurasian form Green-winged Teal at the Kent Ponds, also the
Hybred Ross versa Snow Goose in Kent.Comming Home tired and hungry around
3.30 in the afternoon, we got greeted by a flock of 25 Band-tailed Pigeons
high perched in the Birch tree.[we have theme often feeding on unsalted
Peanut's as high numbers as 60 sometimes} Looking in our back yard, it was
Bonanza !!!!!!!!T The yard was bussy with running Juncos, scratching Fox
Sparrows, Spotted-Towhees, Varied Thruses and Song Sparrows.Flying from
Trees to Feeders and Suet where Red-breasted Nuthatches Chickadees Kinglets
and a agressive lone Steller'sJay made himself loudly known.We watched
this Activety of feeding Birds for about 35 minutes going from one to
onother window facinated by all this bussy feeding frenzy.We this put new
Suet out bevore we left in the morning, all the Suet Feeders was occupied
by Downy Woodpeckers Flicker and Bewick's Wren, what got chased of by
Chickadees and Red-breasted Nuthatches.One Bird was missing, the Rufous
Hummingbird, which din't arrive yet, when always comes when our first bush
of Wild Currant is blooming, what happen last week.Any day we expect to
seeing this most wanted Bird back now. This like Phil Kelly, we got our
Hummingbird Feeder hanging sice ende January in hope to attract an Annas
Hummingbird.
