Hello tweeters

Saturday, March 7th, we had a wonderful guided tour of Tacoma and
vicinity. Thanks to Ruth and Patrick Sullivan, we added five birds to
our life list. The weather was a little foggy in the am, but it turned
out sunny and bright. (We must have brought the sun shine with us from
the east-side.) Our first bird of the day was a FOX SPARROW. He was in a
back yard in Fircrest.
We decided to look for shore birds. Our first stop was Kennedy
Creek(between Olympia and Shelton). There we saw DUNLIN and
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER. We checked Mud Bay and spotted GREATER YELLOW LEGS
(5). In our travels, we saw three PIGEON GILLIMONT, but we don,t know
just where they were located.
The Kent Sewage Ponds had several species. Patrick spotted an "Eurasian
Race" GREEN-WINGED TEAL.
We had a great day thanks to our gracious hosts and the lovely weather.
