Hi,

I would appreciate advice on birding in the vicinity of Mazatlan and San
Blas. The four of us will be staying in Mazatlan next week, Mar 15-21. I
have read the reports by Barry Levine (12 Jan 1997), Don Baccus (16 Jan
1996), Michael Smith (29 Aug 1996) and Richard Rowlett (12 Jan 1996). If
there is any other info on the web please let me know.

Are there interesting sites close by or within driving distance from either
place? Is there a local club or expert? Are there any good local guides or
tours. Can we get there by public transportation or taxi? Is it worthwhile
for four of us to rent a car?

How long does it take to drive from Mazatlan to San Blas? To the sites in
the mountains to the east? Where should we stay overnight?
