I live in Eastern Washington State. If anyone is interested, a flock of
about 20 cedar waxwings flew in and perched in one of the apple trees on
my property about 4:45 p.m. today. They were not particularly skittish.
They allowed me to approach within about 8-10 feet with the bird food
that I was putting out. No matter how many times I see these birds, they
continue to fascinate me with the beautiful coloration and shading of
their plumage and markings.
