I was checking out a flock of widgeon this morning on the Stillaguamish flats, looking for a Eurasian. I located one and kept looking. Shortly I noticed a widgeon with different coloration. It had all the markings of an American widgeon except on its head. Where the American head and neck is a greyish dark color, this bird was a very light cream color with a yellow tinge. This light colored head and neck made the normal green eye band stand out. Is this some type of partial albino or some other species of widgeon that I don't know. Your help would be appreciated.
