If you've not ran across these, it's probably because you're paying more
than $20/night for your motel rooms :) The vibrating bed's useful for
drowning out the sound of drug deals on the room to the left, the hooker's
business on the room to the right, and of the cockroaches scurrying around
the bathroom if you're brave enough to turn the light out.

At least, that's the kind of motel I've found them in. Not in nice places
like The Hotel Ambassade in Amsterdam or other places I'd recommend to
friends!
