I've used the same pair of Leitz Trinovids 8x40B (now Leica) for many years
with absolutely no complaint except what Dennis mentioned, they don't close
focus to the degree I would like. I like their definity of the subject,
the lightness, and their super-duper durability. I've done *everything*
imaginable to these binocs and they have stood up to it all. I can't
comment on the others you mention.
