Greetings,
With sunny skies and temp. in the teens C. (60's F.) ... Spring is
here!
Instead of doing paperwork, today in view of the weather, I decided to
test new applications of a microphone, and no sooner had I placed the
microphone in the budding lilac, the Juncos started to serenade the
microphone. Of course I was not set up to record as I was only testing
the mic., then a Varied Thrush arrives (who has not been present since
early January, this year) and perches NEXT to the microphone (of all the
places to perch in the yard) and he too begins a serenade ... INTO the
microphone.

???? QUESTION ????
Is this because:
A) I was not set up to record?
B) The birds are so anxious to perform they could not wait to audition?
(and is a reflection of how all future recording sessions will proceed)
C) The birds were singing "you'll never hear me singing this again!" (a
catchy tune)

PS... no new (and improved) sounds on the sounds page ... yet!
