I recall someone asking about a bird guide to Ecuador a while back, and I
posted with the response of attaining the guide to Peru and to Columbia.
Well I just got my WINGING IT a few days ago and inside is some book
reviews on birding sight guides to Ecuador. So heres what I have for the
person that was interested:

The two just recently published Ecuadorian sight guides are as follows:

A Guide to Bird-watching in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
Author: Brinley J. Best, Tom Heeijen & Robert S.R. Williams,
Published in 1997
-=Notes=- Book includes black and white illustrations(doesn't tell what
of though), Maps, charts, lists, appendices, bibliography, index, and a
checklist. It's 448 pages, and you can get it through ABA sales Item#733
for 41.95

Birding Ecuador, second edition
Author: Clive Green.
Published 1996
-=Notes=-36 sketch maps by author, Bibliography, index and checklist,
supplements. Ring bound. Also available through ABA Sales Item#590 and it
runs for 25 dollars.

just happened to have the info..I'd much rather you support Flora and
Fauna in Pioneer Square.

In the article it also mentions a the forthcoming book Birds of Ecuador
by Ridgely/Greenfield, so you might want to keep your eye out for that..
