Mike,

A couple of places where they can be reliably found are Granville and 70th
over to Airport Square (the large building at the north end of the Oak St
bridge). Also, the region at the south side of the Burrard Street Bridge
(ie. Burrard and 2nd or Pine and 2nd). Other than that, numbers are
dwindling rapidly. The best time of day is probably morning, although I
have seen them at all times--they tend not to wander more than a few
blocks from "home base". Fast food outlets and back alleys in either of
these areas are good places to check. It is also usually best to get out
of the car and walk around since you often hear them long before you
see them. Good luck.
