Hi tweetsters,

I've heard and seen rufous hummers here on Guemes Island since the 11th of
March. Today I spied a swallow flying high overhead and wasn't able to
identify it. First impression was of violet-green swallow.

Bald eagles were really enjoying the thermals today. Red-tailed hawks are
nest building and displaying. A barred owl has been calling consistently
for a week. It will be fascinating to see if it attracts a mate. Great
past couple of days.
