Never would I take away from Prof. Butler's work, but I must remind readers that
his recent book only covers the coastal race of the Great Blue Heron, _A. h. fannini_
and more specifically, those herons living along the Georgia Basin littoral. Some of
the conclusions reached therein may not apply to the inland nominate race, study of
which in B.C. is sorely lacking.
