Volunteers are needed to help monitor breeding bald eagles for the
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife's new Adopt-a-Nest
program throughout King County. The Washington Department of Fish
and Wildlife (WDFW) is looking for interested volunteers to help conduct
breeding and productivity surveys of 29 known nesting territories
within King County.

WDFW will offer a short training and sign up seminar on bald eagle
ecology and the Adopt-a-Nest Program at Green Lake's Evans Pool
Recreation Complex, Room #3 on the evening of April 20, 1998 from
7:00-9:00 pm for anyone who is interested in participating. Volunteers
will be asked to adopt a nest and commit to monitoring it during April,
May and June. Participates will document nest activity in late-April or
May and again in mid-June, fill out nest data forms and submit them to
WDFW.
