Hi All,

The birding is definitely warming up here. In fact, it seems down right
noisy these days; birds calling and singing everywhere. Almost every stop
has at least one SONG SPARROW singing his heart out. They sure do look like
minature meadowlarks in song. We got some new arrivals today: MOUNTAIN
BLUEBIRD(5), VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS(26), SPOTTED TOWHEE(2), KILLDEER(1),
NORTHERN PINTAIL(12). There is an ever accumulating entourage of CANADA
GEESE(58) and HORNED GREBE(71) including one who is in almost complete
alternate plumage.

There were so many birds it was hard to get them recorded in the notebook
fast enough. I watched one TUNDRA SWAN standing on a log in the water,
trying to look like an albino Canada Goose.
