My husband and I took a short trip to Vashon Island today. Among the
birds I saw around the Fauntleroy dock:

Red-necked Grebe
Horned Grebe
Harlequin Duck
Brandt's Cormorant
Surf Scoter
Bufflehead
Red-breasted Merganser
Common Goldeneye

We also spotted two Bonaparte's Gulls on the west side of Vashon...a
new species for my list. My new Swift binoculars work great!
