Hi Tweets
I was taking a Seattle Audubon group to the Kitsap Peninsula and
Marrowstone Island this morning, and we had a Little Gull (Larus
minutus) working the area near the Edmonds Ferry terminal. We saw the
bird from the ferry before we left the terminal (about 8:40), but it was
close enough in that it would have likely been visible from the fishing
pier. Good views - the first thing which attracted us was the black
underwings. Able to watch it for about five minutes.
Rest of the day was good with decent looks at Harlequin Duck and
Oldsquaw, as well as the rest of the expected seabirds.
