Hi Tweets,

Eric Greenwood writes, re Crested Myna Acridotheres cristatellus near the E
end of False Creek in Vancouver BC:

Thanks, Eric, for the excellent directions. Further to this, Libor Michalak
and I located these four birds at this location on Saturday afternoon. Three
adult birds palling around together and a male noisily advertising his cool
new condo in a square entrance hole at upper left on the NE-facing side of
the Maynard Auction House building, calling loudly both from within the
cavity itself and from atop the light-standard on the corner of Wylie and W
2nd. (Insert Gary Larson's 'Mating Call' cartoon here). Get a life, jack;
said the three haughtily, and flew off down the alleyway to the E trailing
cigarette smoke, the scent of martinis, and sophisticated urban laughter.
Life in the big city can be so harsh....
