On Saturday, 3/21, Steve and I saw about 8 Tree Swallows just outside
of Moscow on the road to Robinson Park, first swallows we've seen
this year. Also on this drive, we saw a pair of pheasants. The male
was strutting around trying to be impressive, while she just searched
for food. It appears that they have also picked a nest site, but I
don't have high hopes, the magpies were already hanging around
harassing the pheasants. I'll keep an eye on it as the season
progresses.
