AOU. 1931. Check-list. Fourth Edition. The one in use for much of the
mid-century, and includes a table of earlier names in use and changes made.
Very good, a few pencil marks, my stamp inside. $40.00

Burleigh, T. 1972. Birds of Idaho. Like new with d.j., minor nicks. The
only full-scale book on the states birds. $40.00

Gabrielson and Jewett. 1940. 1970 reprint. Birds of Oregon. Paperback,
somewhat battered cover, inside very good. $20

Jewett et al. 1953. Birds of Washington State. One of the nicest copies
of this that I have seen, very good plus, with map, hardbound. Has a gift
inscription (not from the authors) inside in blue ink. Otherwise clean,
tight and gorgeous. $70.00

Ralph, C.J. and J.M. Scott. 1981. Estimating Numbers of Terrestrial
Birds. SAB No. 6, Cooper Orn. Soc. 630 page paperbound, one of the major
references on bird census techniques (a collection of papers on the
subject), hard to find. $35.00

Zimmer, J. 1926. Catalogue of the Edward Ayer Ornithological Library [at
the Field Museum, U of Chicago]. Reprint, near-fine with my stamp inside.
700 pages hardbound. This is the best comprehensive reference to books
about birds through the issue date. For example, it describes various
editions of rare books so you can tell what you have. Primarily of use to
collectors and historians. $60.00
