Hello Tweeters:

Does anyone have a well-tested method of aging, or a reference for an aging
key, for nestling great-horned owls (those not in-the-hand).

The Snake River Birds of Prey project came out with some great pictoral keys
for aging Red-tailed Hawks, Prairie Falcons, American Kestrels, Ferruginous
Hawks and Golden Eagles, but I don't know of any keys for owls. These are
very useful as nestlings can be approximately aged with the use of a
spotting scope.
