Hi folks,

I've had a Slate-colored Junco at my yard/feeder since (at least) Friday p.m., he was feeding
on the ground with the 'gang' of Oregon Juncos this morning. Didn't see it this pm.

It was picked up in my mist-net (now sporting ring # 1551-15441) Sunday morning, and was of
that indeterminate gray coloration, size, etc., so I was unable to determine sex. It weighed 18
grams, which is within the range of weights of the Oregon Juncos I've weighed in the past few
weeks. However, it just had a trace of fat in the furculum (groove at the top of the breast where
the neck comes out), whereas all of the Oregon Juncos I've seen recently have pretty good
levels of body fat.

One rufuous hummingbird came through the yard on Sat. They don't like my feeder.....
