Probably like the Eygptian Geese, which may nest 3 or 4 hundred feet up
on a cliff. The goslings just waddle off the edge and tumble to the
bottom bouncing off rocks and what-ever with no apparent injury. It is
like dropping a feather--they float down. The biggest threat was
predators waiting at the bottom to gobble them up. I saw this on a
National Geographic film years ago.
