As well as trolling through the archives, check out Stanley Park in
Vancouver BC: you'll see nesting pairs of geese atop nearly every topped-off
cedar snag tree near either Lost Lagoon or Beaver Lake, particularly in the
vicinity of the Pitch 'n Putt course and tennis courts just W of Lost
Lagoon. Most of these snags are 20-30 meters high.

Mortality around the Lagoon as been running at about 100% for the last five
or six years as the human-fed raccoons get first the eggs, then any
ducklings, goslings and cygnets hatched.
