Brian Bell and I had a pretty interesting morning at Marymoor, despite the
rain and a cold wind.

We had a brief look at a very early GREEN HERON flying up the slough to the
lake. It may have been headed down to Lake Samm. State Park.

Violet-green Swallows are back in abundance. We saw probably 40-50 near the
weir. We didn't see any Tree Swallows along the slough, but there were
hundreds to thousands of swallows out over Lake Sammamish too far out to
I.D. Quite probably they were a mix of Tree and VG.

We had two Savannah Sparrows singing from the fenceposts along the Pea
Patch, and an unidentified falcon (merlin?) way off over the tennis courts.

And we had our first Rufous Hummingbird (male) for the year.
