The first Violet-green Swallows arrived at the Lake Hills Greenbelt. I saw
first ones on Mon., 23rd, and there were over 100. Today, 27th, I saw two
Tree Swallows among the many VGSW and there may have been more. The White-
crowned Sparrows started singing in the LHG about two weeks ago. Brenda
Senturia and I did the Beaver L. Wetlands survey on Tues., 24th, and saw our
first Rufous Hummingbird and 3 or 4 Purple Finches. It sure was great to hear
them singing again.
