I have taken the 'Plates' out of the Colombia Field Guide and had them
spiral bound at Kinkos...This is great (and compact) for use in Ecuador,
Venezuela, etc...and since I don't anticipate birding in Colombia any time
soon, the rest of the book, with site guides and status in Colombia, can be
left in your hotel room. I'm also thinking about pulling the plates out of
the new Warbler book and having them bound separately...that book certainly
defines the term 'overkill'.
