On our way to Spokane yesterday, we stopped at the Reardon ponds. Thanks
to Jim Acton (from Spokane) we saw FORSTER'S TERN and WILSON'S
PHALAROPE. We also saw SPOTTED SANDPIPER,and a SHORTBILLED DOWITCHER
(pretty sure after 30 minutes of viewing) There were several AVOCETS,
BLACKNECKED STILTS and GREATER YELLOWLEGS.

Thanks to Howard Ferguson, we saw a PEREGRINE FALCON in Spokane. On our
way home we saw two DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT at the Reardon Ponds. We
didn't know they would be in this area. At mile marker 246 there was a
PRAIRE FALCON. Between Davenport and Creston where you can go on the old
highway for a short ways there was a SWAINSON'S HAWK. It let us get
within about 60 feet! Just west of Wilbur there were two SHORT-EARED
OWLS.
