Up here in Bellingham the Yellowthroats arrived last week and were very vocal
for about three days and now they are very quiet. I wonder if its some ritual
where they have to announce that they are here and then get on with the
business of breeding young.

I also noticed that the White-crowned Sparrows down at Pine Lake in Issaquah
are very quiet and up here in Bellingham are very busy singing. Could I make
the assumption that the White-crowned Sparrows in Issaquah are still in
migration and the ones in Bellingham are going to nest?
