One route leader (Ahtanum Valley) and several talliers (various routes) are
still needed to fill Yakima Audubons Birdathon, to be held May 9. The route
leader needs to be familiar with eastside birds and their calls, I can fill
you in with the best sites. Talliers only need to be able to accurately
tally birds called out by the route leader, and keep this up for a few (to
many) hours.

Although we always need able help on our counts, this year were in poorer
straits than usual due to a Malheur 4-day trip scheduled the same weekend!
Ugh!. This event is taking 15 Yakima birders out-of-state.

This is strictly a Yakima County birdathon, so if your interested in
learning more about the birdlife of this big and diverse county, please
email me. We are shooting for 170 species.
