Greetings, Tweets.

This afternoon I received a phone call from Larry Jones, with the U.S.
Forest Service. He is interested in temporarily hiring a birder or two
(perhaps on a contract basis) to do point counts of breeding birds on
Forest Service/Dept. of Natural Resources lands near Forks, WA, on the
outer Olympic Peninsula. Housing would be available, and the counts/surveys
would continue into June. He hopes to hire someone ASAP. If you think you
would be able to help him out, you can reach him by calling (360) 956-2345.
Please do *NOT* reply to me directly, as I have no further information
available.

I am not available to do it myself, since I just started a new job (part of
the reason I've once again become more of a "lurker" on Tweeters :). But I
urge anyone interested to contact him. I worked in that region a few years
ago, and believe it to be severely under-birded. Here's your chance to
contribute to further knowledge of the birds of Washington state!

Cheers,

Janet Hardin
