I heard my first oriole of the year at Magnuson Park, Seattle, on
Saturday morning. Haven't heard it since, so maybe it was passing
through.

It can't be long before the Yellow-billed Cuckoos begin flooding in!
Last year, there was some discussion of making an effort to look
for them along likely rivers in June, since the Peregrines were able to
find one. So, a reminder to birders to be on the lookout when visiting
mosquito-infested, warm, brushy rivers in June and July.
