Being new to this region I'm wondering if someone can put these
Bristle-thighed Curlew sightings into perspective for me. I assume these are
birds that were en route between Hawaiian (or nearby islands) and Alaska
that got caught up in some strong west winds or some such thing. How many
records are there in WA and OR for these guys? Thanks very much - this is
very exciting even from a long way off (if I had the time I'd make the 6
hour drive over but am too busy finishing up with my classes and getting
ready for summer work!).
Charles.
