It appears a window has opened for a northern push of migrants along the
coast. Many species were passing the mouth of the Columbia today. The two
Bristle-thighed Curlews on the flats there didn't seem to be thinking of
moving on anytime soon, but they were a bit more wary than earlier.

Just before I left this afternoon a group of five Bristle-thighed Curlews
flew over the parking lot and disappeared to the north. Seven
Bristle-thigheds in a day is going to be hard to beat. I understand that
there are now two in the Yaquina Bay area and one in California.

They are not going to last much longer. If you don't have them yet, the
time is now.
